Why mrv (monitoring, reporting, verification) matters for carbon credit buyers
MRV is what separates a claimed tonne from a proven one. Monitoring measures what the project actually did, reporting documents it, and independent verification checks it. Digital MRV, which uses satellites, sensors, and remote data feeds, is rapidly improving accuracy and lowering costs, particularly for nature-based projects where measurement has historically been hardest.
