    About this project

The reforestation and assisted natural regeneration with Macaw-Palm (Acrocomia aculeata) stops the expansion of degraded grassland while it improves soil quality, promotes biodiversity, and aims to store over 204,000 tons of CO2 until 2045 with extensive cattle farming in a silvopastoral agroforestry system. Launched in partnership with the Paraguayan Ministry of Agriculture, it is jointly managed by Global Woods and a local farmer, and was one of the first projects of its kind in Paraguay.
