About this project
The two carbon capture projects in La Soledad and Yesqueros covers 7,000 hectares in total and is developed under the Mexican Forest Protocol v3.0 of the Climate Action Reserve. The project promotes sustainable forest management while generating environmental and social benefits. Men and women have received technical training, and local employment has been created through forest inventory activities. Planned initiatives include reforestation, FSC certification, a community biodiversity monitoring system, infiltration channels in micro-watersheds, a regenerative livestock farming program and the installation of solar panels for households.
